Robert W. “Bud” Hindman, 84, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, died on October 9, 2015, with his wife, Marian, by his side.
Bud was born on November 24, 1930, on a farm near Gary, South Dakota, to Richard F. “Dick” Hindman and Clara Dellman Hindman. He grew up in Watertown, South Dakota, and raised his family there.
Bud married Marian Luck Hindman and they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on October 1, 2015. He was “Dad” to four children: Laurel Hindman Shoecraft (Chuck), Susan Hindman Dornbusch, Oren S. Hindman (Vicki), and Mark W. Hindman (Robin); he was “Papa” to nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was a partner in Dick’s Tractor Parts and owner of Hindman Electric, both in Watertown. Music was always part of his life, as a listener, performer, singer, director, and teacher. He was a private pilot, an artist who worked in oil paints and wood, a builder, and a creative thinker. He loved traveling, lakes, puns, and word play.
He hoped to live on in the lives and memories of his children and their children, and we remember him with love.
At his request, no services are planned.
Arrangements have been entrusted to CedarVale Funeral Home. For online condolences visit at www.cedarvalefuneralhome.com
